Colorgarden Grows

Newburgh, NY project created by Erica Hauser

The Awesome Foundation

April 2022

The Colorgarden project, situated at the Downing Park Urban Farm and operated by the Newburgh Urban Farm & Food Initiative, features a captivating 30-piece artwork that visitors and volunteers appreciate. The proposal suggests expanding the project by cutting, painting, and installing 20-30 additional wood shapes on the fence. The plan includes inviting children and visitors to paint some shapes during the Newburgh Urban Farming Fair on April 30. The artist aims to engage the community in the project, allowing them to contribute during the fair and witness its ongoing development, emphasizing the presence of artists within the community and their commitment to creating and sharing artwork.
