Volunteer at the Farm

Weekly Volunteering

General farm work:

• Shifts available Tuesday-Friday mornings. 

• Tuesdays typically involve produce harvesting and storage

• Wednesdays typically involve flower harvesting and storage

• Thursdays and Fridays may involve flower and/or produce harvesting and bouquet making. 

• Shift schedules:

  • April - May 15: 9am-12 noon

  • May 18-June 19: 8am - 11am

  • June 22 - August 14: 7am -10am

  •  August 17 - October 2: 8am-11am

  • October 5 - mid-November 9am-12 noon

  
  Additional shifts available by appointment.

Group Volunteering

Projects or general farm work, depending on interest and skills, are done by appointment.

All volunteers must complete our waiver form.

Examples of volunteer activities:

• Organic weed management: Pulling and/or digging up weeds, mowing and/or string trimming

• Container gardening: Planting and cultivating vegetables in containers

• Miscellaneous: Transplanting perennials, spreading mulch, etc.

• Nursery: Sowing seeds or transplanting seedlings

• Cut flower garden: Planting, cultivating, and harvesting flowers, prepping tubers for winter

• Food harvesting: Pulling and curing garlic, harvesting greens in fall and winter

• Market days: Bouquet arrangements and produce/flower sales. Market setup and shutdown

• Infrastructure projects: Building raised beds, building hoop house end walls, re-skinning a hoop house, installing a wash station
