Join the Newburgh Urban Farm & Food, Inc. (NUFFI) for h'ors d'oeuvres and libations as we celebrate Naomi Hersson-Ringskog and her commitment to all things Newburgh! Learn a bit about NUFFI's initiatives and plans for the future while we toast Naomi and her incredible contributions to our community.
Since 2015, NUFFI has actively worked to build a fair and resilient food system in Newburgh. NUFFI manages the Downing Park Urban Farm under a long-term lease with the City of Newburgh, focusing on providing the community with access to fresh, nutritious produce while also offering educational opportunities for youth and residents to learn about urban agriculture. Additionally, NUFFI addresses food insecurity challenges through the Newburgh Food Project, an initiative that has collected critical data on food distribution in Newburgh to identify gaps in the food access system. Its goal is to work with the community to determine and implement solutions to food security challenges. All proceeds of Gather & Grow will benefit NUFFI's programming.
