A Big Thank You to Ahmad and Emily!

We want to take a moment to thank our Assistant Grower, Ahmad Cohen, for three seasons of hard work at DPUF.  Ahmad has been a vital part of what we do on the farm and has worked closely with our Farm Managers and volunteers. From growing food to helping with our youth programs, we appreciate everything he was able to give to our community. We want to wish him the best as he moves on to a new position educating youth in agriculture. We look forward to hearing about his new opportunities and experiences soon.

A big thank you to Emily Alta, our Summer Communications Intern from Mount Saint Mary’s College. Whether she was helping out at the DPUF, assisting with community outreach with the Newburgh Food Project, or putting together posts & reels for our social media - Emily was a vital part of NUFFI’s successes this past year. Aside from her work with NUFFI, she is also an Environmental Justice Fellow with the CAC and an intern with MSMC’s Desmond Center. Emily is a shining example of Newburgh’s next generation of community leaders.
