Noon — 4:00 pm
Dowing Park Urban Farm 207 Carpenter Ave.
The Newburgh Urban Farming Fair is a celebration of fresh food, local vendors, crafts, and farm fun. Attendees will learn about urban farming and gardening and participate in “how to demonstrations” about what they can do in their own yards and neighborhoods.
Arm-of-the-Sea Theater fuses visual storytelling with live music in contemporary works of mask and puppet theater. Their productions are designed to bring joy, insight, and community uplift to audiences of many ages and walks of life. DIRT: THE SECRET LIFE OF SOIL takes the audience on a journey of discovery into the teeming ecosystem right beneath our feet. This free public performance is made possible by the Malcolm Gordon Charitable Fund. And the NYS Council on the Arts.
We are currently looking for booths which feature information about gardening and food, community groups, as well as food vendors. Vendor booths are free. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for a vendor application.
Volunteers are needed in the weeks leading up to the Fair, as well as on the day of the Fair – April 30. Email email@example.com to volunteer!
